H.I.I.T. circuit for a full body workout

High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T. for short) is one of the best ways to get in shape fast.  Why? Well the best circuits like this one from Essendon Personal Trainer and franchisee Demi Allan get you puffing the whole time and work every muscle in the body a variety of different ways.  So this type of workout not only gets you fit, strong, and toned to look great, it’s functional fitness, meaning you’ll get fit, strong, and toned to keep injury free and handle anything life throws at you.

While you’ll get great results from this one workout, the real key to success isn’t doing the same routine again and again, it’s never doing the same routine again and again.  Life is unpredictable, so your workouts should be too.  So try changing your squats for lunges, your high knees for step ups, and 30 second rounds for 40 second rounds as you get fitter.  And of course if any exercise doesn’t work for you (ie if you have bad knees avoid impact), then swap that too.  So long as you don’t swap it for the couch, you’re doing well!  Not too sure how to do it, give us a call on 1800 PT for U for a chat about it.

30 seconds: High knees

30 seconds: Break

30 seconds: Squat jumps

30 seconds: Break

30 seconds: Kicks

30 seconds: Break

30 seconds: Mountain climbers

30 seconds: Break

30 seconds: Jumping jacks

30 seconds: Break

Repeat another three times depending on your fitness level.  Four rounds will be a full body workout in only 20 minutes plus another 10 minutes for warm up and cool down.  You can find 30 minutes to get in shape!
