Brooke and Carol started Training with Fitness Enhancement back in January 2012. Carol says
“We had the typical New Year’s resolution that everyone else did, in fact, if I remember correctly I sent the email off at 2 o’clock in the morning! I will be honest and say I didn’t really think it would last all that long. That was all the way back in 2012 and 4 years later we are still going!”
Goals and achievements
When they began with one mobile Personal Training session per week, Brooke and Carol’s goals were just to increase their health and fitness. Over the years they have bumped it up to two sessions per week and have become much more body aware, changing not only their health, but also their body shapes! Together they have completed several terrain races for fun. Carol says
“I have learned to love weight lifting and it has been the biggest factor in changing my body shape. Generally though I have achieved what I wanted, I am fit, healthy, active and don’t have any fears about not being ‘fit or strong enough’ to do something. I have done a number of obstacle races (True Grit and Stampede) and that is something I would not have done before I started. They were amazing experiences from both a fitness perspective and a personal growth experience – it was very much stepping out of my comfort zone.”
Having fun and training at home
Brooke and Carol like to have fun and have a laugh while working out at the same time. They love the convenience of working out at home with their mobile PT sessions because, as Carol says = “There’s no getting out of it!” Brooke’s favourite thing about training is “the feeling you get while you are training, and the confidence in life knowing you have a fair level of fitness”

Goals for the future
Brooke is keen to get his “6-pack out of the fridge where it’s been hiding since I was a kid” while Carol wants to keep being consistent, growing in strength and challenging herself. She says “I am turning 40 in December so I have about 5kgs I want to lose before then and I am also interested in doing another challenge whether that be an obstacle course or something like the Kokoda challenge.”
