Fitness Enhancement is proud to celebrate a major national achievement for Fit Your Ability, our disability fitness and support division, after it was named Most Inclusive and/or Diverse Program at the 2026 AUSactive Awards.

The award recognises inclusion and diversity across the broader fitness, health, wellbeing and community sectors, making the result especially meaningful for our team.

Fit Your Ability grew from the same philosophy Fitness Enhancement was built on when Scott Hunt founded the business in Nerang in 1999: helping people who may not feel comfortable, confident or represented in traditional fitness environments.

Over the past 27 years, that focus has continued to shape the way Fitness Enhancement has grown.

As the business expanded nationally, we increasingly supported people living with disability through personalised fitness. After becoming an NDIS-registered provider in 2019, Fit Your Ability developed into a dedicated disability fitness and support brand, making it much clearer who we could support and how.

Today, Fit Your Ability operates across 12 cities through a network of Personal Trainers and support workers, while remaining part of the Fitness Enhancement family.

Our CEO and founder, Scott Hunt, said the award reflects how far disability inclusion has come within the fitness industry.

“Disability does not mean inability. We should be asking how someone can exercise, not assuming they can’t.”

Scott has long advocated for stronger connections between the fitness and disability sectors, encouraging the fitness industry to become more welcoming and accessible while also highlighting the role exercise can play in helping people work towards their individual goals.

The award is also significant because Fit Your Ability was recognised alongside a broad range of inclusive programs, rather than within a disability-specific category.

For Fitness Enhancement, that recognition reinforces something that has been part of the business from the beginning: fitness should not only be designed for people who already feel comfortable in gyms.

Our franchisees and trainers work with people from many different backgrounds, fitness levels and abilities, and Fit Your Ability has allowed that inclusive approach to grow even further.

We’re incredibly proud of everyone across Fitness Enhancement and Fit Your Ability who has contributed to this achievement, including our franchisees, Personal Trainers, support workers, participants, clients, families and wider team.
