After his wife said his glutes were getting flabby, Chris took up Personal Training and thought “How hard can it be?” He was certainly proven wrong, but the results are speaking for themselves!
Flabby glutes and improving his cycling
The main reason Chris started Personal Training was to assist with his cycling (along with the fact that his wife had said his glutes were flabby!). The date and time of Chris’s first Personal Training session is etched fresh in his memory, as it is according to him “when the pain began”, but also when the results started to happen. It was the 2/10/14 at 6:30am when Fitness Enhancement Personal Trainer Cassie turned up at the door for their first session, and Chris’s initial thoughts of “How hard could it be?” were certainly proven wrong after being put through his paces. Chris’s goals when he started were similar to many of the other Fitness Enhancement’s clients, he wanted to tone up and lose weight as well as being held accountable for his eating. All of these goals were deemed achievable under the watchful guidance of his Trainer.
Weekly goals
The results are speaking for themselves as Chris’s core strength has increased dramatically and he is on his way to pleasing his wife with much more toned glutes. All of this has been achieved through exercise and eating healthier. Chris says that the best part about the training is when you get to those last two or three reps of an exercise and your muscles are just in agony, and if no one else was there it would be so easy just to give up. But with Cassie there pushing and motivating to get every last bit of effort and complete the exercise, it makes it all worthwhile. The other thing Chris enjoys is the little weekly goals that Cassie sets and the accountability of meeting those goals each week.
Chris says, “One example of this was when I was told that I must eat lunch every day and not let work get in the way. Unfortunately I was unable to meet this goal one day which meant I was made to do 100 crunches at the end of the session and I can tell you that it hurt”.
Highly recommend torture
Like a lot of people Chris states the stretching at the end as his favourite exercise, and with all of the hard work he is putting into his sessions it is well earned. Up there with his least favourite exercises are jump squats and supermans, although he knows how good they are for toning his glutes and strengthening his core. Although very pleased with his results so far, Chris still has more goals for the future. He would like to lose more weight and tone up some more, along with getting even stronger for his cycling. He is keen to reach those goals with the continued guidance of his Trainer.
