Brisbane Powerhouse, a fabulous relaxing location to unwind on a beautiful day
The historic Brisbane Powerhouse, situated right next to New Farm Park, which hosts live arts, weekend Jan Powers farmers markets and moonlight cinema (which is seasonal). New Farm Park has a variety of roses, flowering trees and amazing city views on a relaxing lawn of grass. Jacarandas cover the lawn where they are in luxurious purple in October. A good place for a quiet refuge from the bustle and business that is elsewhere in the city. From New Farm Park you do try the most scenic Brisbane Riverwalk to Captain Burke Park underneath the Story Bridge with the walk taking in some beautiful Brisbane sights such as the Goodwill Bridge, The Botanic Gardens and the Story Bridge.
The river walk is a great way to see the city, river & Story Bridge. The path is segregated so walkers & cyclists have their own lanes. Plenty of stops along the way to sit & rest & get some water. The path is flat so suitable for all levels of fitness. If you need that little motivation to start your fitness journey, contact your local Fitness Enhancement team. New Farm and surrounding suburbs: Newstead, Teneriffe, Fortitude Valley
