Trainer Nathan combines Exercise Science, Personal Training and AFL

Trainer Nathan completed his Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science in 2011. While studying his degree, Nathan was working for the AFL for 5 years. AFL happens to be one of his biggest passions as well, Nathan has played the sport ever since he was little and growing up on the Gold Coast! His greatest achievements with the sport include being Queensland Representative, team captain and ALF state league player for the past 11 years.

Becoming a Personal Trainer

After finishing his studies, Nathan started working as a Personal Trainer on the Gold Coast and joined the Fitness Enhancement team in late 2017. Nathan loves all health and fitness and believes that improving these things is one of the most important aspects of peoples lives. Nathan wants to help his clients build up their fitness and improve their health in a sustainable way that gives them long-lasting results!

Training style

Nathan is a big believer in resistance training but knows that everything has its time and place. He believes that enjoyable training sessions are the best way to stay consistent with fitness, and this is why Nathan always makes sure his clients are enjoying their Personal Training sessions and incorporates exercises they like doing. Nathan now works as a mobile Personal Trainer on the Gold Coast and loves to help his clients achieve their goals.nathan trainer

 

1. What is your biggest achievement as a Personal Trainer?

Helping a client quit smoking, lose 15kg and she has gone on to compete in fitness challenges and is now a Personal Trainer herself.

2. What is your most memorable training session?

When a client realised they had tripled the weight they were lifting on the bench press over a 3-4 month period.

3. What is your favourite exercise as a trainer?

Pull ups and push ups (simple but effective)

4. What is your favourite exercise or sport outside of work?

NFL (American football)
