Trainer Pauliina competitive figure skater from Finland

From Finland to Fitness Enhancement

Pauliina profilePauliina grew up in the cool climate of Helsinki, Finland, competing in figure skating on ice from just 3 years old.  Pauliina developed a love for sports and fitness during her many years of competitive figure skating throughout her childhood. As she moved through school she also participated in several types of dance, competing in cheer dance and performing in dance shows, as well as participating in school sports and PE classes.

Pauliina has always known she wanted to work in sports and fitness, and had been involved with coaching children’s ice skating. She put her plans to continue her fitness career on hold until she completed her university studies. Pauliina studied geology and organic chemistry in Finland, where she achieved her Bachelors in 2012. She was then able to pursue her love of fitness by becoming a Personal Trainer when she moved to the Gold Coast 3 years ago.

Functional training and injury prevention

Pauliina uses a functional training approach, and is especially passionate about injury prevention having suffered several knee injuries herself – she knows the challenges of rehabilitation and recovery from multiple ACL reconstructions. Her favourite part of being a Personal Trainer is helping people achieve their goals, overcome their fears, and feel better about themselves.
