Greythorn Park North BalwynThe size and shape of Greythorn park means it offers a great opportunity for some serious training in South Melbourne! As well as the oval itself which can be utilised for running and other aerobic drills (when not being used for footy!), there are a variety of other interesting things about this park. Next to the playground there is a decent amount of paved space which is great for activities such as boxing – particularly if the weather’s bad and the ground is getting a bit muddy. The playground itself also offers some great opportunities for those who want to be a bit more adventurous with the their training – for examples chin ups to strengthen the arm muscles and plenty of other body weight exercises. We don’t recommend that you do too many of these type of exercises without having your trainers there to offer advice though! Once you’ve finished your workout  and cool down you could catch a game of footy or even a game of tennis – getting involved with a sports club is a great way to maintain your fitness in a fun and encouraging environment.
