Putting his Business First
Dave’s passion for helping people change their lives has always been his biggest motivator and the fitness industry has been his home for the past 10 years. He has spent many years working as a Trainer paying rent in a big box gym. While he loved being a Personal Trainer, he grew tired of the big box gym putting sales and finance first and his business and clients last; he eventually came to a point where he no longer found that his ethics and ideals matched up to theirs. Dave began searching for a way to keep working in the fitness industry that would allow him to put his business and his clients first, and at the same time allow him keep progressing and growing his business.
Dave is a dad to three beautiful girls, and he found working in a gym he was always working for other people on their terms. He needed to find the freedom and control over his business that would give him the income and work-life balance he needed. Working solo as a PT there are a lot of gaps that are challenging to fill on your own, so Dave needed help. Owning his own Personal Training Franchise with Fitness Enhancement not only ticked all the boxes he needed financially, but he also found himself instantly connected to the people. Some of the words he used to describe the people at Fitness Enhancement were – integrity, passionate, good energy, refreshing and infectious.

Dave’s favourite thing about training clients is that he literally gets to help people change their lives. The feeling when your client walks in with their shoulders back and head held high is what he lives for! He has had so many amazing transformations over the years, one of the most notable being a client who lost 100kg over the space of just over a year. Losing weight is not just about the physical weight loss, but the psychological changes that came along with it. His client increased his health, his self-worth, his confidence, he got a promotion at work, had more successful relationships and completely changed his outlook on life.
