25/11/13

Scott Hunt, CEO and founder of Fitness Enhancement Personal Training has been announced as a finalist in the Gold Coast ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ Awards.

scott huntThe awards are hotly contested between the Gold Coast’s leading entrepreneurs and business owners under the age of 40 on a variety of criteria from turnover, to growth to building a unique business. Scott is the only person from the fitness industry to ever make the finals of the award.

Scott said “I am honoured to receive this finals award from Gold Coast Business News. Most of the finalists are from the more traditional high profile, high income and high success industries such as property and IT, so I am honoured to be the first ever person to make the finals for the fitness industry. It’s even more rewarding to receive the award for our success, size and growth in Personal Training when this sub section of the fitness industry is so often overshadowed by the big main stream Gyms”.

The award finals caps of an exciting two months for the entrepreneur having been awarded the ‘Gold Award’ from Fitness Australia just last month. The ‘Gold Award’ acknowledges Fitness Enhancement as one of Australia’s leading fitness businesses. Fitness Enhancement is the only Gold Coast Personal Training business to have ever received this award.

Last month also saw Scott launch Fitness Enhancement as a franchise and the company is already receiving strong interest nation-wide.

Fitness Enhancement, a Gold Coast success story that was started in 1999 on just $400 by Scott Hunt as a 19 year old while at Uni. From humble beginnings the company has grown to become Queensland’s largest independent Personal Training company with Personal Trainers in every suburb Gold Coast and Brisbane wide.

A part of Fitness Enhancement’s success has been in creating a niche of “100% private” Studios and Mobile Personal Training to give clients “Personal Training that’s personal, not ‘impersonal’, unlike at a Gym where you’re the centre of attention”.

CEO and founder Scott Hunt explains “Gyms are great value for fit people who love exercise, however they don’t cater to the millions of Australian’s who feel too embarrassed to go to a Gym due to their size, age, injuries, confidence or a variety of other factors. With us clients can achieve their goals in the privacy of their own home or one of our 100% private Studios and avoid the dreaded Gym scene. We have helped so many Queenslander’s who would never step foot in a Gym, get to a fit and healthy weight and live a longer and happier life due to providing a private alternative compared to Gyms.”

“We are excited to now be spreading our ‘100% private Personal Training’ concept Australia-wide through franchising with the added recognition of having received awards in both fitness and business in recognition of our success so far”
