Gymnastics and a passion for health
Jill grew up in Melbourne doing gymnastics and tennis for 1years, she was very successful and won two gold medals in gymnastics. From years working in retail, Jill was always the staff member who turned up at work in her runners and needed a shower before starting in the morning because she had come straight to work from the gym. She knew her heart and passion was in the health and fitness industry, and turned her dream in to reality by becoming a Personal Trainer. Another dream was to be able to work outdoors which she is able to do for a lot of her week working for Melbourne franchisee Matt Eddy.
Functional training style
Jill’s favourite part of being a Personal Trainer is being part of a client’s life and being by their side as they transform themselves. To be able to see how their confidence grow and be a part of their journey is an amazing feeling. Jill describes her training style as functional training combined with high intensity training, which she adapts to suit her clients. Personally Jill still loves doing gymnastics and also functional training and high intensity interval training combined with running.

What is your biggest achievement as a Personal Trainer?
My biggest achievement is being able to help clients on a daily basis to change their lives. Being a part of their journey is so rewarding.
What is your most memorable training session?
My most memorable training session was when a client turned to me and said “thank you so much for giving me back my confidence Jill, I really appreciate it more than you know!”. To hear those words was so touching, and reminded me why I love my job!
What is your favourite exercise as a Trainer?
Burpees!
What is your favourite exercise or sport outside of work?
Gymnastics, hand stands and push ups would have to be my favourites. For watching sports, there is nothing better than on a cold day, rugging up and going to the footy to watch the Saints play.
