Once you’re warm there’s a great running track around the outside of the oval which is approximately 400m. Start with a nice slow lap before completing some fartlek training (fartlek is a Swedish work meaning ‘speed play’). One great tip is to use the trees around the outside as markers – walk to one tree, jog to the next and then sprint to the next. Depending on your level of fitness we’d suggest you complete around 4 laps of this before introducing a bit of strength training.
The, setup a little station opposite the playground. Do 20 press ups and 20 sit ups and then jog around the oval. Next time you arrive back at your station complete 20 step ups and 20 push ups on the bench, followed by another lap around the oval and then 20 squat jumps and 20 lunges. Finally go for a nice slow jog around the oval before some nice long stretches so you’re not stiff during your afternoon at work!
