Doug Larsen Park Circuit

Doug Larsen Park is located on Logan St, Beenleigh. With walking tracks and exercise equipment you should be able to get in a good workout with a bit of imagination too. The good things about the park is that the kids can play on the playground while you do your session. For a warm up run around the lake on the left of the playground as seen on the map below which should take you 3 minutes at least, remember this is just to get you prepared for your workout. You can admire the bird life as you jog.

Playground Workout

When you get back to the start near the playground start by doing 20 pull ups on the web climbing rope.

Find the nearest bench (plenty around) and perform 20 bench dips.

20 box jumps on to the bench or 30 step ups.

20 push-ups with your hands on the bench or on the ground for added difficulty.

20 squats with your bottom hitting the bench.

Aim For 4 Laps Around The Park

This is just a basic circuit which will take you around all of the park. If you can get 4 laps out that would be about 2km but if you are a beginner aim for 1-2 laps. Along the way you could stop off by using the exercise equipment supplied by council and spend 1 minute on each of the machines, this will increase the intensity but still be manageable.
