Make your busy life easier

We know life can be very busy in the mornings rushing to get kids ready and out of the door for school, pets needing walking and feeding, your significant other needing help and then getting yourself ready on top of that, but that is NO EXCUSE for not eating breakfast! It is the most important meal of the day, so to help you out, here are the top 5 breakfast on the run ideas from our Trainers – one for every day of the work week! Make sure you stick to your healthy diet over the weekend too and keep eating breakfast even on your days off!

1. Smoothie made with fruit

Think banana, mango, frozen berries or peaches! Add yoghurt, almond milk, tablespoon bran and tablespoon of oats. Can add a half teaspoon of honey if you like. This smoothie is best made just before drinking due to the bran and oats.

2. Microwaved Scrambled Eggs

Beat eggs, salt and pepper in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 45 seconds, stir and repeat. Add a handful of vegetables and meat if you like.

3. Porridge with fruit

Make the night before and put in the fridge overnight. Tip- when making your porridge, add a little extra liquid once it has cooked it will stop your porridge from drying out too much in the container overnight.

4. Ricotta and Tomato Breakfast Sandwich

Spread a tablespoon of ricotta on two slices of whole grain toast, then add sliced tomato (blotted with paper to remove excess moisture) and sandwich together as you walk out the door or eat as individual slices.

5. Zucchini Slice

Make a big batch and cut into individual portions, then frozen and lifted out of the freezer the night before to be heated in the microwave or at work as you walk out the door.
