Pursuing her dream career
Anna was born in Tauranga, New Zealand and has always had a dream of becoming a Personal Trainer. Finally, after having two kids of her own, she was able to pursue her dream and become a fitness professional. Being a busy mum of two takes time and effort but, Anna still manages to fit her training sessions in; she completed her first triathlon in January this year, and will compete in her second one in September 2017! To challenge herself even more, she will also complete a 100km bike ride at Brissie to the Bay charity event in June. Anna keeps setting up new goals for her own fitness and finding inspiration to motivate her clients, she is living and breathing a healthy lifestyle and setting a great example for her kids!
Childhood at the gym
Growing up, Anna played netball until her twenties. Sports were a big part of her life from early on. Anna’s Dad was a competitive power lifter, so a part of her childhood was spent at a gym! Anna was always keeping a close eye on all the challenging exercises her Dad was completing. It was at a very young age when Anna decided to become a Personal Trainer herself. Before pursuing her dream career in fitness, Anna worked as a customer service adviser for Volkswagen gaining experience on servicing clients. Shortly after this, she decided to take the leap into a new career!
Passion for health and fitness
Nowadays, Anna loves how having a variety of clients with different goals challenges her. Anna’s favourite part of being a Personal Trainer is to see her clients get more confident session by session. She loves to be a part of their fitness journey and watch their progression week by week. It is highly rewarding to see clients achieving goals or completing exercises they never thought were possible for them!
Anna says:
“It’s such a great feeling to watch my clients’ confidence grow, it’s an honour to be a part of that.”
Anna is currently based in Loganholme Queensland, and works as a Personal Trainer for Fitness Enhancement Personal Training Beenleigh, with a variety of clients from different backgrounds. Her favourite training styles combine HIIT (High Intensity Interval training) and cross training exercises to make up a challenging but rewarding session.
