Why go inside to a stuffy Robina Town Centre gym when you can be outside in the fresh air and do a workout for free? Let’s face it, the busy big gyms are not interested in you, they are interested in having as many members as possible to get as much money as possible, and they won’t care if you go or not. In fact, they probably prefer you not going because if every member actually went to gym would be so full no one would be able to move! So why spend that money on a membership when you can be just close by in the park and follow our tips to get fit?

A Walking Or Running Circuit

A great walking or running circuit is Cheltenham Drive to the Robina Train Station, then continue on Laver drive, and further in on Robina Town Centre drive until you are back on Cheltenham Drive again. It is about 4 km and will take you less than 45 minutes to complete if you walk, and even faster if you jog or run. If it isn’t far enough, stop at every roundabout and do 10 squats, 10 push ups, 10 star jumps, and then continue. We call this the Robina Town Centre fitness journey and money saver – not only do you get a great workout without spending any money, you also don’t actually go inside the shopping centre (like the other gyms tempt you to do!) so therefore you won’t be accidentally spending any money on shopping!

Fitness Enhancement Personal Trainers

A 10 To 1 Circuit

In any of the parks around Robina Town Centre there is endless space for a park workout on your own or with a group of friends, or even with your kids as it is great for them too to run around and burn some energy – you will all benefit from that later on in the day! Here is a circuit workout that is quick to do and that will work through your entire body without getting boring.

5 minute warm up: walking/jogging. If you have the kids with you, you can place them in one spot and then walk/jog to a tree and then back, and continue like that for the warm up, that way you can keep an eye on the little ones at the same time.

Circuit: squats, push ups (on the ground, or you can make it easier by using a bench or tree for your arms), star jumps, plank with single leg lifts, walking lunges, dips on a bench, long jumps, sprints to a tree and back. The number of reps goes like this: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. First you do one round with 10 of every exercise, then the next round 9 of everything, and so on. It will be less reps for each round, and in the end you will do 55 repetitions of each exercise = a great workout!
