Lap runs

Start of by doing a couple of laps around the running track for warm up, remember not to overdo it here as we just want to prepare for the workout ahead. Using the oval set up 2 markers which could be a towel and a water bottle for example and place them about 50 feet apart. Set a timer for 5 minutes and you are going to see how many laps you can do in 5 minutes, 1 lap is up and back. Don’t forget to count as the next time you do it try to better it.

Playground workout

Head over to the playground area and find a spot where you can do some chin ups, using a climbing net should be fine. Start off with 20 squats followed by a squat hold for 30 seconds, using your chin up area perform 10 – 15 chin ups, find a bench and perform 30 step ups (15 each side) followed by 20 push ups, 15 box jumps and 20 dips and repeat circuit 2 -3 times. Once completed aim for 3 laps of the running track at a medium pace. Find a shady area and have a good stretch and cool down and don’t forget to keep your fluids if it’s a hot day.
