Relaxation Centre of Queensland – Alderley

What do you think of when you think of Health –  Nutrition?  What about Physical Activity – Exercise)?? Well, they are not wrong but they are not completely correct either. They are missing three very key areas of health that we deal with every day of our lives: Social Health (communication), Emotional Health (feelings) and Mental Health (thoughts). At Fitness Enhancement Mitchelton – the main service we provide is Physical Wellness but we can’t deny that physical wellness can also support the path to Mental, Emotional and Social wellness. But if you would like to explore more opportunities for mental, emotional and social wellness, we would suggest you to have a visit to the relaxation centre which is located at 15 South Pine Road, Alderley.

Lionel loves assisting people to relax, be able to sleep better and, all importantly, enjoying being themselves by reducing stress, anxiety and improve physical and mental issues. Relaxation Centre offers a range of short courses covering Anxiety, Stress, Sleep, Depression, Meditation, Yoga, Building Confidence, Overcoming Fears, Healthy Ageing, Empowerment, Kids & Parents, Creativity, Communication, Relationship and much more.

The Centre also has a little Bookshop full with undiscovered treasures. There is also a little library which you can borrow Books & CDs with a small amount of monthly subscription. You can also enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit while visiting the centre. Being a non-profit organisation, the Relaxation Centre is run by a group of volunteers. Those volunteers make the Relaxation Centre to become a friendly, supportive and encouraging environment. If you would like to help the local community and make a real difference and are also interested in the programme, you can register for one of the 1 hour introductory sessions for the volunteers. I had a very great morning spending my time there while exploring services and chatting with a few volunteers.
