Trainer and PhD student Ata bought a Personal Training business because it combines his passion for health, fitness and teaching! Plus, it gives him an income, of course. Being the owner of Fitness Enhancement Personal Training Ascot is perfect for Ata. He can use his book smarts for running a business and his passion for health to help his clients be the best versions of themselves!
Personal Trainer Ata was born to teach
Personal Trainer and business owner Ata is also a PhD student at QUT University in Brisbane! Ata’s PhD project focuses on the role of social media and online communities in empowering the self-management of diabetic patients. In addition to his academic career, Ata attained his Certificate III & IV in Fitness in 2018 and became a qualified Personal Trainer. Soon after that, Ata started working in our Brisbane Personal Training studio in Woolloongabba and training mobile clients in the surrounding suburbs. Originally from Iran, Ata moved to Australia in 2018 to complete his studies and to build a new career.
A career in fitness and teaching
Trainer Ata was born to be a teacher! He started his teaching journey back in Iran where he was a lecturer. Afterwards, Ata continued his passion here in Australia. For example, Ata teaches classes at QUT university alongside his research project. He loves all aspects of teaching and seeing his students make progress! Most importantly, it was his passion for teaching and the interests in the healthcare industry that led him to a career in fitness!
Passion for health and fitness
Trainer Ata is a passionate teacher and loves to help his Personal Training clients with their health and fitness goals. As an academic, he wants to know everything about the human body and the science behind the exercises. Therefore, he always makes sure his clients perform workouts with the correct technique and ensures that all exercises are done safely and effectively.
Ata says: My favourite part is when clients tell me that they lost weight or put on weight (based on their fitness goals) and I really enjoy it when I see their progress.
The biggest achievements as a Personal Trainer
Ata says his biggest achievements as a Personal Trainer is changing his clients’ lifestyle. For instance, he’s passionate about getting his mobile Personal Training clients to completely change their routine and wants to make exercise a regular and enjoyable part of their day. Ata even encourages his youngest clients towards a fitness career; his client’s 2.5-year-old son makes sure his parents train on the days their Trainer’s not there! The toddler watches Ata train his parents and encourages them with their fitness during the week.
