Just next door to the Deception Bay PCYC is an amazing free to use outdoor fitness gym. Called the Adizone, it has a huge variety of options for fitness and is incredibly popular.
The outdoor training zone is adidas branded, and they have worked with Moreton Bay Council to create a versatile space that can be used for so many different activities, including local area Boot Camps.
Not only does the facility have gym machines such as a leg press, cross trainer and treadmill, it also has a sports arena where you can plan basketball, soccer and cricket. There’s even a climbing wall, the other side of which can be used as a tennis or kick wall, providing so many different options for a fun workout!
The area is shaded, and is situated next to a large playing field, skate park, BMX track and kids playground. This has to be the best outdoor gym set up I’ve seen, providing easy access, and making fitness fun and free for everyone.
Each machine has clear instructions on how to use it, and the machines are colour coded so that you can create different workouts each time you visit.
I love that this sort of thing exists in Deception Bay, it means that there is no excuse for staying fit and healthy when we have such incredible initiatives provided by the Moreton Bay council for free.
