My name is Matthew Eddy and I have recently become a Fitness Enhancement Franchisee in Narre Warren, I am available across most South East Melbourne suburbs as a Personal Trainer. I have worked as a qualified Personal Trainer since 2006 in many different areas. I have been a trainer for Hawthorne football club where I worked with the players to improve their strength and conditioning. I have also worked for a sports medicine clinic, training clients with injuries and helping them with rehabilitation, as well as training clients in the “normal gym” environment.
Becoming a Personal Trainer was an easy choice; I had always been interested in sports and training myself, and I wanted to be able to impact other people’s lives and make them gain confidence. There is no better feeling than watching someone reach their goal and potential, and that is the greatest benefit with being a Personal Trainer – I get to do that every day! My most memorable training session was when my client who had never run before achieved her goal of being able to run a lap of an oval, the excitement on her face was very memorable.
When I was a kid my biggest interests were footy and cricket, I was always very fast and eventually managed to use that in my athletic career. Since 18 years old, I have been sprinting professionally and I do about 25 professional races per year. Some of my achievements are six times Stawell Gift semi-finalist and 2012 Maryborough Gift winner which is one of Australia’s richest foot races. When I don’t train people I spend time training myself, watching AFL, and enjoying time with family.
