Scott is a Personal Trainer with a passion for helping people. Scott is a husband, a dad and a grandpa. Scott says one of the biggest challenges he and his wife have had to work through is their oldest son Nik living with autism. His diagnosis and specific needs have provided Scott and his wife with many challenges.
Scott says “It’s amazing how many walls you have to walk through repeatedly to get help for Nik so he can live his best life, but the upside is I think it has made us more grateful for what we have in our life, life’s an adventure!” Having first hand experience dealing with all the barriers that a child with special needs can face, Scott is excited about the opportunities that working with the NDIS has opened up.
NDIS funded Personal Training
Everyone knows the benefits of exercise, for people of all abilities. For many people with a disability, exercise can seem difficult or overwhelming, especially in a traditional gym setting where it can be bright, loud, busy and intimidating.
A National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) registered Personal Trainer like Scott can be the perfect solution. Fitness Enhancement works with the NDIA across Australia to implement NDIS funded Personal Training Sessions to participants who qualify. It has given Scott an amazing opportunity to give back, and help other families with special needs to get the assistance they need to live their best lives.
Disability Training Australia-wide
Scott is based on the Sunshine Coast, but we also have NDIS registered Personal Trainers in all the other major cities Australia-wide! Scott had 3 years of prior experience before joining Fitness Enhancement. He loves the outdoors, walking, riding bikes and swimming at the beach, and has recently joined an outrigger canoe club. Scott can provide NDIS funded Personal Training with clients in the comfort of their own home if that is the place where they feel the most at ease, but he can also take clients outside to share his love of the outdoors, and train in the sunshine and open air. It might be a complete weight training session, it might be balance and coordination, boxing, cardio based exercises, or it might be simply going for a bike ride or having a kick of the footy. Scott is able to provide many different fitness session options based on your unique needs and abilities. Scott’s passion lies in being able to help people achieve their best potential in life. He really enjoys seeing clients grow and achieve their goals!
